G’day, I have been living in Hobart since 1998 with my wife and daughter. I am a qualified Pilates Instructor and am currently teaching in the Hobart area. I have been involved with TasMen since 2000 in a number of capacities; participant, small and large group facilitator, Project Manager, Committee Member and several advisory roles. I have also offered several free-style dance sessions for men at the annual Tasmanian Men’s Gathering’s - especially for those that believe they can’t/don’t know how to dance. I bring my lived experience of daily meditation, ongoing commitment to my monthly Mens’s Group and deep understanding of addiction recovery. I am available to offer introductory Pilates classes for small groups, free-style dance sessions and informal discussions on addiction recovery. If I am required to travel more than 50 kms, I would appreciate a small donation to help cover travel costs. Contact David: 0437 849 577 |

I love adding value to my world and the world of others. Helping men to travel well in their journey is my passion. Its such a wonderful challenge: dealing with our demons encouraging our wisdom, insights and sense of kindness and gratitude. Mentoring is what I offer to men. Both in life guidance, and with facilitation of men's groups. I am both trained in counselling and economics and have spent 35 years in developing and running projects and programs for men. I recently published a comprehensive manual on leading mens groups that has gone around the world. I also worked as a Buddhist prison chaplain in a maximum security prison for many years. I am available via video or phone to work with you. My work is free although I am always up for donations as I am on a fixed retirement income. I have done many different types of personal development and spiritual practises over the past 20 years and went to my first TMG in 2019. I am part of the Dodges Ferry Men's group and have found mens work in general to be a vital component to my wellbeing and the wellbeing of the men around me. Hi, I have been involved with TasMen since 2000. I’m living in Cygnet since March 2021 on 12 acres with my partner Tina. At Tasmen, I have been involved at various levels, Affinity Group Leader and Second, Gatekeeper, Project Manager, Kitchen, Content Team and Committee. I am a jack of all trades but trained in Horticulture, Breath Therapy and Bodywork. I have spent a vast amount of time in group processing with men and women. I have been lucky to share my facilitating gifts at many large festivals and gatherings where I create Labyrinths as an act of beauty and transformation. What I bring to TasMen is my gift of “being in each breath” the place where magic sparks from, engaging in Men’s Groups since 2002 and a deep passion of igniting creativity. I can be contacted for 1:1 Mentoring or a group session on cultivating presence, stage fright dissolving, creating ritual and ceremonies to enrich relationships with self and others, and using labyrinths as a place to explore a deeper connection. At present all contact will need to be by Zoom. Contact: 0407 042 405, magicpathman@gmail.com, www.labyrinths.com.au |

I have been involved in official mens work since 2010 but believe it started earlier in my army experience in the Israeli Defence Force. In 2019 I moved to Tasmania and currently living and working mostly in the northwest coast- in the Burnie Private Hospital Mental Health Ward, with the community and organisations, as well as teaching online. I focus on trauma recovery, anxiety, depression and PTSD by working with the breath and the mind. I am a breathwork facilitator, yoga and mindfulness teacher and also a sound engineer that loves to integrate powerful sound and music in the process of healing. My gentle passion lies in helping people find healing in their own resources and connecting to others in meaningful ways and I have done that officially for the last 10 years. I love the HuMANess work with all its glory and pain, engaging with it regularly through my profession, with my mens circle, breathing circle, mentoring and supervision. I am available to mentor, teach and support one-on-one or groups about mindfulness and breathwork techniques. Through zoom, in person in Port Sorell or through courses and workshops I run in the northwest coast, northern Tasmania and Hobart. I’ve been committed to men’s work since life changing immersion at a NZ men’s gathering in 2000, where I discovered the power of letting go, perceived hard times dissolved into the practice of living in the practice and essence of now. The 2001 Gathering, Blue Moon stage act turned into a men’s group for several years. Checking in tucked up in a cabin on a mountain, teeth of the roaring forties storm was our favourite stage. We held strong for many years. Later we formed a group (EMG) Experiential men’s group formed to do experiential work. A group coming together on usually on the side of Kunyani to experience a process and the deepening that can bring - the idea was that a man would put his hand up to run the next month’s night and then drop it on to us when we arrived on the mountain -we never knew what was coming It was like having an odysseus journey every month; relishing the gift wrapped in the mystery unknown first Friday every month up mountain. Soul at home in mystery. Probably I’m a Gathering junky by now. The wisdom and learnings from the sharing and brotherhood feel locked in deep. Gatherings whether there as man, affinity groups facilitator and content fella - usually see me scratching around for experiential processes. This fella has always taken to the wilds. He’s a 4 girl dad, surfer, ocean swimmer, sailor, bushwalker, and later years: words on paper scratcher. If there’s men’s groups out there looking for an experiential process I’m happy to help set the container and facilitate. Natural setting best, overnight in wilderness with wild storm preferred! Guided meditation, Breath work, Jibberish, Higher gradient processes on request, Container creation, Safe space, Check in, Unsure finishing times! No cost but must give plenty of notice, at least 4 weeks or more. Contact Andy: ashassoc@outlook.com |
